| This wine has red-berry fruit aromas coupled with characteristic white pepper and unique notes of citrus peel that seem to be characteristic of this vineyard. Quite full and ripe on the palate, but with enough natural acidity that it maintains a tight, focused core of fruit balanced by subtle elegant tannins. The high-point of this wine is the finish, which seems to go on indefinitely. 85% syrah, 15% cabernet sauvignon. The wine was blended after 22 months with some Cabernet Sauvignon from a contiguous vineyard and was subsequently matured in tank for two months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. |
