Tasting Notes

"Burge's old-vine trinity is made up of grenache (39%), shiraz (35%) and mourvedre (26%), a classic Barossa blend, which, in this case, has the ducky depth of flavor of game birds hung to age. The fruit itself is red strawberry and red currant jam while the darker tannins bring out that gaminess as well as a saline, mineral edge. Serve it with roasted wild duck, or other game birds."
