| 2005 Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil | 750 ML | $13.99 | 90 Points! Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. The 2005 Juan Gil comes from 47-year-old Monastrell (AKA mourvedre) vines and is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It exhibits sweet notes of blueberries, blackberries, licorice, black pepper and scorched earth. The old vine grapes come from chalky soils on bed of limestone which is shown in the minerality from the wine. It is a rich, medium-full bodied multi layered wine with tons of flesh and will be a pleasure to drink over the next several years. Drink from 2007-2010. | http://www.juangil.es/ |
