2003 Enzo Mecella I Lavi Rosso Conero Montepulciano: The color from this proprietary blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes is an intense ruby red with a purple tinge, that turns to garnet with aging. It exhibits fruity wood aromas typical of Mediterranean areas, like dried, wild cherries, followed by cherry and red currant fruit that is medium to full-bodied with firm tannins that has a long finish.
