| 2004 Tejada Tempranillo / Grenache: 50% Tempranillo and 50% Grenache, the Tejada vineyard is still young, so only a tiny crop (just over one ton per acre) was allowed to remain on the vines. The wine has notes of chocolate and spice, and an intriguing note of wet rocks and India ink. It is ripe on the palate but not jammy or hot. We think it is a worthy expression of the rocky ground where it grows. While we are obviously inspired by the great wines of Spain, the goal with this wine is to make it the best expression possible of the place it is from . . . . . The Tejada Ranch. |
