| 2006 Kenneth Crawford Grenache Larner Vineyard | 750 ML | $29.99 | Winemakers notes: The wine is dark and rich with all of the tell tale Grenache characteristics, but there is also a new aroma this vintage of fresh cracked pepper. Now, this may just be a vintage thing or it may be the way the vineyard is developing, but either way we couldn’t be happier with the results, and we understand why so many people are becoming such big fans of this wine. Our 2006 Grenache has a deep ruby color with aromas of black cherry and cassis. The wine is made more complex with additional notes of sandalwood and red licorice and a hint of freshly cracked black pepper. On the palate the wine sits nicely between medium and full-bodied with that core of black cherry fruit carrying through. There is a long finish that is enhanced by a terrific balance of tannin and acid. This is a great food wine that should continue to develop complexity for years to come. 15.5% alcohol, 311 cases produced. Varietal Compostion: 88% Grenache, 12 % Syrah.
