| 2001 Richard Grant Sparkling Wine Wrotham Pinot | 750 ML | $49.99 | A superb Pink Sparkling Wine from the most unique Pinot Noir clone ever! Every vine in this 2 acre Napa Valley vineyard grew from a single cutting taken from a 200 year old vine that was discovered growing wild in Wrotham village, Kent, England. The Wrotham vine is believed to have descended, through natural generations, from the original Pinot Noir vines brought to England by the Romans nearly 2000 years ago. The current vintage, 2001, produced just 500 cases and had 3+ years on the yeast en tirage, in addition to further bottle age. It exhibits a beautiful pink color, luscious fruitiness reminiscent of Kiwi, Berries and Citrus along with exquisite balance. The ultimate in elegance! This is that special wine to share with your special someone. This sparkling wine is in its zone of peak drinkability now, and will continue to hold well for ten years from vintage year.
