| 2006 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Four Winds Vineyard | 750 ML | $29.99 | 2006 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Four Winds Vineyard: This has always been one of our most popular wines…east of the Mississippi River. For whatever reason the East Coasters have always appreciated the sauvage nature of this bottling. This particular wine has stood out in the cellar for its unique combination of gaminess, forest floor, licorice and black fruits and for some reason that certain expression of Pinot has appealed to people living in the EST time zone. In 2006 we are clearly seeing more maturity in this now 13 year-old site. While there is still a distinct sense of the nuances mentioned above there is palpable sweetness of blackberry styled fruit, more richness and density in the back-palate and an increased overall sense of balance in this wine. This wine is still atypical of what we generally produce but this vintage is probably a bit closer to being in line with our other wines. 575 cases bottled.
