| A terrific rose, the dark ruby-colored 2005 Le Celeidh is a bold, exuberant, dry rose fashioned from 54% Syrah, 34% Mourvedre, and 12% Grenache. This ripe, big, dense offering can be drunk over the next 12 months with more flavorful foods than most roses can handle. Wine Advocate #166 (Aug 2006) Robert Parker 89 points Drink 2006-2007
One look at this wine and you know it is not your typical rosé. While the color is dark, the aromas are a clear indication that this is one serious pink. Notes of cranberry, pomegranate, sassafrass, rhubarb and beetroot dominate the nose and the palate. The finish is rich and satisfying with good acidity. ‘Celeidh’ is a Gaelic term which means ‘the celebration’ or ‘the party,’ and serves as a celebration of the birth of our first son, Jack Francis Garretson. 560 cases produced. Varietal Composition: 54% Syrah, 34% Mourvèdre, 12% Grenache |
