2002 Jade Mountain La Provencale: A terrific value in a Rhône-inspired blend, anchored by Mourvèdre and Syrah (40 percent each). Serves up a generous portion of pure, ripe, juicy plum- and blackberry-scented fruit that's round and supple, with a trace of beef and new leather and a spicy, peppery aftertaste.
